Through these varied artistic activities of the Athens Latino community, the Members of the Ad Hoc Planning Committee want to give witness to the cultural contributions of the immigrant community in the Greater Athens Area.

LatinxFest, written with “x” to signal inclusivity of all in the Latin community, “The Athens Latino community is culturally rich and diverse, and has an incredibly positive social and economic impact on the larger community. Every year, we curate the performances of LatinxFest not only to celebrate our latinidad, but also to share a little bit of our heritage with our Athens neighbors,” said Beto Mendoza, producer of LatinxFest.
